“Radical self-love demands that we see ourselves and others in the fullness of our complexities and intersections and that we work to create space for those intersections.” -Sonya Renee Taylor

Welcome! At the intersection of trauma-focused somatic bodywork and a passionate commitment to social justice, I offer a unique approach to reconnecting to the body and addressing how it stores trauma. With an unwavering dedication to decolonization, and community-building, I am passionate about creating a space to discover how personal well-being converges with our collective struggle for justice. I invite you to begin exploring how the body, mind, and society can unite in the pursuit of healing, liberation, and community support. Let us begin remembering the wisdom of our bodies as we journey towards individual and collective wellness.

– Sincerely, Cortenay

Mission Statement

I deeply believe addressing our individual and collective trauma leads to self-compassion, acknowledging our interdependence and moves us closer towards equity, justice and the healing of our communities. My goal is to be a relentless ally and gentle witness while continuing to learn from and hold space for folx on this path.

“I think so much about the work that Harriett Tubman did. It seems so bizarre but that’s what I’ve come to.  It’s like, what does it take for a person to go get their own freedom and then to come back and show people the way.”
